Well, you’ve found it! This is the home of F.R.O.G. for the IBM i5!
What is F.R.O.G.? It’s a Windows based database utility that lets you:
- Connect to your iSeries
- Browse through libraries/files/members/fields
- Execute SQL statements against your database
- View the properties of files
- Save the results of an SQL statement to your PC
- Generate the SQL syntax needed to create an object
- Work with IFS Files
- Work with QM Queries
- Run SQL Scripts
- Automate downloads to a PC
- Edit database records
What you need:
- Windows 98/2000/XP (older version available for Windows 98)
- Client Access Express (minimum install, V4R4 or higher)
- iSeries (of course)
What you DON’T need:
- To pay for F.R.O.G., it’s FREE!
- ODBC connection
- SQL product installed on your iSeries
